The Pyramid Space Approach

The symbolism involved in the Pyramid Space Incorporated logo is no accident. The solid base of knowledge, experience and drive focused on a single point of enterprise. The growing PSI team is driven to find a way to focus our energies on projects that we believe in rather than projects we’re just involved in for the paycheck. All of us currently on board have a certain level of restlessness, a desire to do something of lasting significance with our energy.

PSI staffers bring to bear the same energy to all of our projects. Although building a rocket plane is the ultimate goal, each project further hones our skills. The success of our full line of engineering services and positive feed back from happy customers not only make it possible for us to continue; they encourage us to press on.

A major source of our motivation is love of country. We want to see the USA lead in space. PSI has determined to provide our nation with a research tool in the form of rocket plane to help attain that goal.

In our collective life experience huge corporations have not shown the ability to overcome their own inertia. We must agree there is a time and a place for the advantages of economy of scale. Research and development probably is not one of those times or places. From a historical perspective, at the end of the nineteenth century major corporations had the intellectual and financial capital to achieve powered flight, but it was left to two bicycle mechanics to actually fly. That very American spark of enterprise is something we aspire to. This is not to say that we as a team have no appreciation for the work done at large companies. At PSI there is no delusion about reinventing the wheel; we just want to tune the spokes, true it up a bit and maybe look at a different tread pattern. NACA’s early transonic work and NASA’s X-15 project are very inspiring. We believe providing the research community with an affordable manned flying test bed is a contribution worthy our pursuit. That is why PSI is actively developing rocket planes.

Of course we are not blind to risks of small team endeavors. However, that brass ring is worth the reach. Since large companies with names recognized in every household no longer offer long-term security, consider joining the PSI adventure.
